Retha Ray Brown

Retha Ray Brown, 88, of Weatherford, passed away Thursday, June 7, 2018, in a Fort Worth care facility. 

Funeral: 10:00 a.m., Monday, June 11, 2018, in the Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel with interment to follow at East Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation: 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Sunday, at the funeral home. 

Retha was born January 1, 1930, in Putnam, Texas to Mark and Ollie Francisco Burnam. She was a faithful member of North Side Baptist Church, where she sang in the choir. Retha enjoyed gardening and traveling to visit family and friends. 

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Bill Brown. 

Retha leaves behind her daughter, Sharla Morgan of Lipan; son, Nevin Brown of Tampa, FL; sister, Gayle Burnam Isenhower of Putnam; two grandchildren, Abbie and Andy Brown; sisters in law, Wilma Martel Gill, Mary Trimble and Ginnie Apuan; several nieces, nephews and friends.
