Rebbah Lorene "Harrington" Bodiford, 93, locally known as "The Tupperware Lady," quietly went to be with the Lord Saturday morning, March 15, 2008.
She was born on September 5, 1914, in Weatherford. Rebbah was well known in the surrounding counties for her singing, cooking and exceptional sense of humor, for always having a smile on her face and an unmistakable laugh that was contagious. Rebbah had a rich and full life.
She served as the Parker County treasurer from 1946 to 1950. She was a successful Tupperware manager for 27 years. Rebbah was never ashamed to share her belief in Jesus Christ both in witnessing and in her singing. She was a longtime member of Bethel United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Foy Bodiford.
Survivors: sons, Jimmey Bodiford and wife, Rita of Weatherford and Michael Bodiford and wife, Regina of San Angelo; sister, Aulta Hackett of Denton; grandchildren, Michael Bodiford and wife, Brandy, Sheila Carr and husband, Russell, Perri Taylor, Brian Bodiford and Jason Bodiford; and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral Service: 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 18, 2008, at Bethel United Methodist Church with Dr. Charles Wetherbee officiating. Interment: Bethel Cemetery. Visitation: 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday, at the funeral home. Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel in charge of arrangements.
