Raymond Vauncil Stephens, age 80, passed away on Saturday, May 5, 2012, in Fort Worth, Texas. Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, May 12, at 1:00 p.m., at Victory Baptist Church, with Dr. Charles Wetherbee officiating.
Raymond was born on September 18, 1931, to Floyd and Naomi Wilson Stephens, in Russellville, Arkansas. He was a resident of Weatherford and a member of Victory Baptist Church. Raymond served in the Army during the Korean War and life time member of the VFW in Weatherford. He was a foreman at Kerr McGee Chemical Plant in Idaho and retired in 1990. Raymond was a member of NRA, National Trap Shooters Association and the Retread Motorcycle Club.
He was preceded death by his parents, Floyd and Naomi Stephens; son, Raymond Stephens, Jr. and brother, Lloyd Stephens.
Raymond leaves behind his wife of 21 years, Brenda Stephens of Weatherford; sons, Miles Stephens and wife, Kathy of Denver, Colorado, James Stephens and wife, Jamie of Oklahoma City, and Arnold Algeo of Altus, Oklahoma; and sister-in-law, Joe Stephens of Cleveland, Oklahoma.
Arrangements are under the direction of Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel.
