Raquel Ortiz Castillo

  Raquel Ortiz Castillo, 63, passed away Tuesday morning, May 4, 2010, in a Fort Worth Hospital. Rachel was born June 25, 1946 in Edroy, Texas, to Saturnino L. Ortiz and Victoria Davila Ortiz. Raquel received her diploma from the Seminary and loved to serve the Lord. She was a very active member of Primera Iglesia Bautista church. Raquel taught Sunday school and was the director of Vacation Bible School. She was a Teacher’s Aide at Sam Houston Elementary School. 

  Preceding her in death were her parents, Saturnino L. and Victoria Davila Ortiz; sister, Yolanda Ortiz; and a brother-in-law, David Velazquez. 

  Survivors include her husband of thirty-two years, Antonio of Weatherford; sons, Hector Ben Castillo and wife, Adriana and Ruban Bryan Castillo and wife, Gabriela; four grandchildren, Kandence M. Castillo, Vontez A. Castillo, Ben D. Castillo and Camille M. Castillo; sisters, Olga Andrade and husband, Pete, Lupe Olin and husband, Bill, Delores Fraire and husband, Juan, and Beatrice Velazquez and a brother-in-law, Tony Ortiz. 

  A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, at Primera Iglesia Bautista. Visitation will be Thursday from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at the funeral home. Burial will be in Annetta Cemetery.
