Peter "Pete" Alan Rugur

  Peter Alan Rugur, affectionately known as Pete, passed away on Saturday, January 3, 2026, at the age of 76. He was born on January 25, 1949, in Rochester, New York.

  Pete dedicated 27 years of his professional life to Nations Rent before retiring in 2007. He was actively involved in his community, often lending a hand to friends and spending cherished moments at Texas Raceway, where he enjoyed the thrill of muscle cars. His long-standing membership in the Parker County Sportsman Club, which lasted 40 years, exemplified his passion for outdoor activities. An enthusiastic participant in the Pool and Dart League, Pete embraced the camaraderie of his peers and engaged in numerous pastimes including shooting, fishing, darts, and card games such as Phase10.

  Pete is survived by his close friends, Raymond Golden, Jr., Elenora Dallas, and Joe Boydstun, who will deeply miss him and remember him fondly.

  Friends are invited to pay their respects during the visitation from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, at the Galbreaith Pickard Hilltop Chapel, located at 4941 I-20 Frontage Rd, Willow Park, Texas. A graveside service will begin at 11:30 a.m. at the Aledo Brown Cemetery, 1200 E. FM Road 1187, Aledo, Texas.
