Peggy Pryor

March 13, 1938 — December 24, 2023

It is with profound sadness and a sense of great loss that we announce the passing of Peggy Pryor on December 24, 2023. Born on March 13, 1938, in Alma, Arkansas, Peggy's life was a testament to her dedication to her family and her deep faith in the Lord, always with an infectious and beautiful smile.

Peggy was a beacon of strength and grace, exemplifying the virtues of hard work and resilience. Her grace and persistent dedication were evident in every aspect of her life, especially in her commitment to her family and her faith. A long-standing leader of Bible Study Fellowship (BSF), she passionately shared her love for God, teaching her family and those around her about the strength and compassion found in faith. Peggy attended Grand Avenue Baptist Church in Fort Smith, Arkansas.

Peggy was preceded in death by her parents, R.A. Barton and Frances Carmack, and grandparents, Arley and Jesse Harris.

Peggy is survived by her husband of 68 years, Bobby Pryor; and her four (4) children, Vicky and her husband, John Stahl, Bobby and his wife, Susan Pryor, Sherry Pekearo and her fiancé, Doyle Mitchell, and Brinson and his wife, Christy; five (5) grandchildren; and seven (7) great grandchildren, along with their respective spouses and partners.

As the best wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Peggy instilled in her family the values of love, dedication, and the importance of holding oneself to the highest standards. Bobby was her partner and love of her life. They shared an unconditional love for each other that they passed on to their family and friends. Peggy retired after twenty (20) years of service from Sagely & Edwards Realtors as a Real Estate Agent. Her ability to bring out the best in everyone was a gift that she generously shared, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of all who knew her.

In her final moments, Peggy was surrounded by her loving family, a testament to the deep impact she had on their lives. Her legacy of love, faith, and strength will continue to live on through them. Peggy's life was a journey of love, commitment, and grace. She will be deeply missed, but her teachings and love will forever be a guiding light for her family and all who were blessed to know her.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Alzheimer’s Foundation, at https://alzfdn.org, reflecting Peggy's lifelong commitment to her faith and helping others.
