Pauline Ellis passed away quietly Monday, February 11, 2013.
Pauline was born Vera Pauline Conrad, February 13, 1922 in Mexia, Texas. She moved with her family, Thomas Watson and Esther (Tracy) Conrad and sister, Betty, to Bristow, Oklahoma as a small child and grew up there. She married and had three children.
Pauline began work for Carter Oil Company in Tulsa, Oklahoma and continued working for thirty years through several mergers finally retiring from Exxon Oil Corporation in 1978.
Whether working or retired, she was always busy with needlework and handcrafts of all kinds. She enjoyed travel in many areas of the United States. Her favorite trips included a trip to Hawaii and another trip to Australia, New Zealand and other Pacific Islands. She had a sweet, loving and giving spirit.
Her father, mother, and sister preceded her in death.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Drs. Michael and Sharon Ellis of Nashville, Tennessee; son and daughter-in-law, Dan and Joyce Ellis of Weatherford, Texas; grandson, Jason Ellis of Santa Fe, New Mexico; granddaughter, April and husband, Pat Knauss of Arbata, Colorado; great-grandchildren, Morgan Ellis and Patrick Knauss; and daughter and son-in-law, Cherie and Jack Kendrick of Weatherford, Texas; granddaughter, Adriane and husband, Josh Arnold of Fort Lewis, Washington; great grandchildren, Sterling Kendrick and Ian, Hailey, and Johnathan Arnold.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, February 17, at 1:30 p.m., at Martin Crest Assisted Living, 1818 Martin Dr., Weatherford, Texas.
