  Paul Edward Davidson, “The Watermelon Man,” died Monday night, October 20, 2008, at his residence. Born February 28, 1918, in the Adell Community, a resident of Parker County all his life, he was a retired farmer, member of the Adell Community Fellowship Church and he raised watermelons for over fifty years. 

  He was preceded in death by his wife, Dovie Davidson and a son, J. W. Hall. 

  He is survived by daughter, Linda Friddle and husband, Joe of Weatherford; daughter-in-law, Jerry Hall of California; two granddaughters, Judy Kennington of Weatherford, Lorie Smith and Bobby Green, of Mansfield; four grandsons, Jason Smith of Weatherford, Jason Friddle of Weatherford, David and Donna Hall of Pflugerville, and Dan and Kerry Hall of California; 15 great grandchildren; Tyler and Brayden Kennington, Kason Smith, Jordan and Trevor Green, Ty and Savanah Friddle, Jonathan, Micheal, Anna and Mathew Hall, Benjamin, Peter, Emily, and Christopher Hall.            

  Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, October 23, 2008, in the Adell Community Fellowship Church with interment in the Bethesda Cemetery. Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 22, at the funeral home.
