Pamela Jean Smith

Pamela Jean Smith, age 80, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, March 20, 2024. She was born on November 4, 1943, in Fort Worth, Texas to the late William Wells and Louise Wells. Pamela dedicated her professional life to serving as a respiratory therapist at Weatherford Hospital and Medical Plaza Fort Worth until her well-deserved retirement.

A woman of faith, Pamela was an active member of the Methodist community and held membership in Eastern Star in Haltom City. She also contributed significantly as a longstanding member of the PTA. Known for her passion for crafting various items such as baskets, wedding books, beads, jewelry, earrings, and woodworking, Pamela found joy in these creative pursuits. Notably, she had a remarkable talent for engaging in good-natured banter with her beloved husband, Donny - a skill that brought laughter to all who knew her.

Pamela is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Donny Lee Smith of Weatherford, Texas; her son and daughter-in-law, Tony L. and Libby Smith; her daughter, Tiffany L. Smith; four grandchildren, Dan (Jennifer) Hawkins, Garon (Julie) Hawkins, Brian Hawkins, and Aaron (Alyse) Smith; six great-grandchildren, Christopher Hawkins, Meagan Hawkins, Kelli Hawkins, Seth (Kyleigh) Hawkins, Elijah Hawkins, and Tucker Smith; a great-great-granddaughter, Piper Hawkins; her brother and sister-in-law, Vince and Mayda Wells; and sister-in-law, Sandra Crumbaker.

Visitation is from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Thursday, March 21, 2024, at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel, in Weatherford, Texas.

A funeral service to honor Pamela's life will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., on Friday, March 22, 2024, at Bethesda Methodist Church, in Weatherford, Texas. Following the service will be the interment at Peaster Cemetery.
