Olyn Audrey Francis, Sr.

  Olyn Audrey Francis, Sr., 86, of Millsap, died Thursday, January 25, 2006, in Weatherford. Born July 13, 1920, in McKinney, Texas, he was resident of Parker County for several years. 

  Olyn was a retired aerospace assemblyman and animal control officer in California. He worked on road maintenance for Parker County, sold insurance for American National and was an exceptional cook for numerous restaurants and café’s. Olyn was a member of Millsap Baptist Church, a life long inventor, loved the outdoors and a talented artist. He was a sweetheart of a man. 

  Survivors: wife of 65 years, Myrtle Francis of Millsap; daughter, Olivia Francis of Amarillo; sons, Roger Dale Francis and wife, Mandy of California, Olyn A. Francis, Jr. and wife, Jean of Santa Barbara, California; sister, Dolores Thomas of Wichita Falls; brothers, W.D. Francis and wife, Jenny of Granite Shoals, Kenneth Francis of Granite Shoals, Denny Francis and wife, Delois of Farmers Branch, and Barry Francis and wife, Diana of Amarillo; eight grandchildren, Jeff, Jennifer, Samantha, Julie, Justin, Dustin, Greg, and Chris; and ten great grandchildren. 

  Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, January 29, 2007, in Millsap Baptist Church, with Rev. J.B. Cagle officiating. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Sunday, at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel.
