Norman Phelps Harrison

  Norman Phelps Harrison, age 87, passed from this life on Sunday, May 25, 2025. Born January 6, 1938, in Quitaque, Texas, to Ocie Harrison and Tommie (Phelps) Harrison, Norman was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church and the Knights of Pythias. He owned and operated B&N Garage, working as an automotive mechanic for many years. Norman was always busy - when he wasn't working on cars, he was spending time with his grandchildren, mowing, fishing, or piddling. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

  Norman was preceded in death by his parents, Tommie and Ocie Harrison; his beloved wife, Melba Harrison, in 2006; daughter, Tracy Powers; grandson, Justin Powers; and siblings, Mavis, Truman, and Linda.

  Norman is survived by his daughters and their spouses, Jeannie Bornholdt (Gary) and Kim Bigham (Aubrey); six grandchildren and their spouses, Amber (Jim), Brandon (Laura), Sheena (Jonathan), Michelle (Chris), April (Josh), and Donna Kay (Tyler); sixteen great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; and sisters, Jo Hall and Janie Harkey.

  Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., on Thursday, May 29, 2025, at the Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel, 913 North Elm Street, Weatherford, Texas 76086, with the funeral service at the same location, beginning at 10:00 a.m., on Friday, May 30, 2025. Burial will follow the service at East Greenwood Cemetery, in Weatherford, Texas.
