Ned Frank Loomis, Jr., 81, passed away Saturday, August 2, 2025. Ned was born to Greta Fay Hoglan Loomis and Ned Frank Loomis, Sr., in Houston, Texas, on October 28, 1943. He was raised in Weatherford, Texas from the age of three, along with his two sisters, Doris and Janetta.
Ned was an incredibly talented mechanic, gifted carpenter, and avid pilot who was well-respected in his community and always there to lend a helping hand to those who needed it. His never-ending humor and light-hearted teasing endeared him to everyone he met. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Ned was preceded in death by both of his parents. Survivors include his daughter, Karen Devereaux and husband, Paul of Benbrook; his son, Brad Loomis of Austin; sisters, Doris Jennings and Janetta Loomis; and companion, Pam Carter.
Memorial service: 10:00 a.m., Saturday, August 9, 2025, at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel, 913 North Elm Street, Weatherford, Texas 76086.
