Naomi Eugene Ayers

  Naomi Eugene Ayers, 73, of Weatherford, died Sunday, October 15, 2006. Born June 24, 1932 in Topeka, Kansas, a resident of Weatherford for many years. She was a retired certified nurse’s aide and a member of Friendship Baptist Church. Naomi loved to watch baseball and basketball and was an avid bingo player. 

  She was preceded in death by her husband, Lester Ayers; two grandchildren; two brothers, Albert and Earl Green; and one sister, Ruth Montgomery. 

  Naomi is survived by her daughters, Patty Cook and husband, Kenneth of San Angelo, Texas, Diana Richardson and husband, Bill of Dereks, Arkansas, and Karen Morgan and husband, Raymond of Weatherford; sons, Michael Ayers and wife, Tammy of Houston, Kenneth Ayers of Weatherford, and Dennis Ayers and wife, Denise of Weatherford; brother, Robert Green of Gonzales; 13 grandchildren and12 great grandchildren. 

  Funeral service: 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 18, 2006, in the Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel. Visitation: 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel. Interment: DFW National Cemetery. Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel in charge of arrangements.
