Services for Myrtle Janice Sherrod, 76, of Weatherford, formerly of Lubbock, will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Wednesday, April 8, in Resthaven’s Abbey Chapel. She will be interred in Resthaven Memorial Park after the services.
She passed away on April 4, 2009 in Weatherford. Mrs. Sherrod was born in Graford, Parker County, on March 16, 1933 as Myrtle Janice McCann. She was a mother of nine children. She worked at many jobs but her favorite was that of a pediatric nurse’s aide. She loved her Lord with all her heart and soul. She lived in many areas of the country but Lubbock was home.
Mrs. Sherrod is survived by her six sons, Mike and Sam Rice of Lubbock, Pat and Tim Rice of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Jon Rice of Mineral Wells, and Keenan Rice of Ellicott City, Maryland; and one daughter, Ruthann White of Weatherford, Texas. She has 13 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Memorials are suggested to the American Diabetes Association.
