Molly Hatfield

February 19, 1922 — June 2, 2008

  Molly Tipton Hatfield, 86, of Weatherford, died Monday, June 2, 2008, at the Weatherford hospital. Born February 19, 1922, in Weatherford, to Monroe Tipton and Sallie Green Tipton, her parents divorced when Molly was four and she was raised by her step father, Richard McMakin of Denton. She attended public schools in Denton and Collin Counties and received a GED Certificate from Fort Worth public schools on May 11, 1972 then received her Texas Beauty Operators License. Mrs. Hatfield was a member of New Hope Baptist Church, a twenty-five year member of the VFW Auxiliary and a twenty one year member of American Legion Auxiliary.  

  She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Hatfield, on June 26, 1990, and a sister, Mary Shough. 

  Molly is survived by her sons, Donald Richard Chadwick of Weatherford and Freddie Lee Myrick, Jr. of Theodore, Alabama; granddaughter, Jaqualine Mariah Chadwick of Weatherford; niece, Patricia Ann Estridge of Fort Worth; nephew, R.D. Shough of Weatherford; and other great nieces and nephews.    

  Funeral service: 10:00 a.m., Friday, June 5, 2008, in the New Hope Baptist Church, with Pastor Curtis Jefferson, Jr. and Rev. Fred McCarty officiating. Interment: Poolville Cemetery. Visitation: 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, June 4, 2008, in the Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel.
