Milford Meadows of Weatherford, Texas, passed from this world May 5, 2026, to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He was born the son of Homer Edgar Meadows and Veanna (Sneed) Meadows on August 16, 1930. Graduating from Weatherford High School, he then went on to receive a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Education from Texas Tech University.
He enlisted in the U.S. Air Force to serve his country during the Korean War and used his military training to secure a job with the F.A.A., where he met the love of his life of 65 years, Minda Scott. He was employed by Bell Helicopter, where he retired after 25 years to enjoy his family and grandchildren.
Milford was an agriculturalist enjoying farming and raising cattle. His love of God, family, country, and community was always present. He served as a deacon at Friendship Baptist Church for over 20 years. He was a good neighbor and enjoyed lending a hand to help in the church, F.F.A., or 4-H groups, and enjoyed his friends and family.
Milford was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Elsie Dobbs and Mary Gene Sandlin; and brother, Lewis Wayne Ellis, all of Parker County. He was also preceded in death by his son, Brad Meadows.
Survivors include his loving wife, Minda; son, Keith Meadows and wife, Wendy, and their children, Kaley Meadows of Kentucky and Casey Meadows of Hawaii; and son, Tracy Meadows and his son, Colton Meadows of Frisco.
Visitation will be at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel, on Friday, May 8, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. The funeral will be Saturday, May 9, 2026, at Friendship Baptist Church at 10:00 a.m., followed by interment at Pecan Cemetery in Dublin, Texas, at 2:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Alpha Omega Hospice of Weatherford.
