Michael David Berry passed away on July 10, 2025, at Harris Hospital in Fort Worth - the same hospital where he was born.

Michael was born on September 28, 1949, to William E. Berry, Jr. and Elaine Grayson Berry. He grew up in Fort Worth and graduated from Eastern Hills High School in 1967. He later attended and graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington while managing the largest paper route for the Fort Worth Star-Telegram in the late 1960s and early 1970s - a testament to his lifelong work ethic.

Michael loved facts and trivia. He was a mathematician in the truest sense and worked as an actuary for his entire career. He loved his work and was still pushing off retirement when he suddenly passed.

An avid golfer, Michael grew up playing at Meadowbrook Golf Course. He was a devoted attendee of the Colonial Golf Tournament, rarely missing a year, and could recall the winner of nearly any tournament if asked.

Michael spent much of his adult life outside of Fort Worth but returned in recent years to be closer to his grandchildren, whom he adored. A loving husband, father, and grandfather, he will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Michael was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Patty Berry; his daughters, Elena, Amy, and Jenee; his grandchildren, Madeline, Charles, Julia, and Scarlett; and his siblings, Penny Hardy and Chris Berry.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, at Galbreaith Pickard Hilltop Chapel, 4941 I-20 Frontage Road, Willow Park, Texas 76087.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to two organizations close to Michael’s heart: Adults in Motion in Austin, and Camp CAMP, a nonprofit dedicated to serving children and adults with special needs.

Arrangements are by Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel. https://www.galbreaithpickard.com/
