Melba Jean Harrison

  Melba Jean Harrison, 64, of Weatherford, went home with the Lord Friday, September 29, 2006.

  Funeral:10:00 a.m., Monday, October 2, 2006, in Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel. Visitation: 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Sunday, at the funeral home. Burial: East Greenwood.

  Mrs. Harrison was born May 12, 1942, in Sherman, Texas, to Ulys and Annie Mae Gregg. She married Norman Phelps Harrison November 6, 1958, in Ropesville, Texas. They moved to Weatherford in 1964 where she worked as the bookkeeper for her husband until he retired. 

  She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Tracy Powers; and grandson, Justin Powers. 

  Survivors: husband, Norman Harrison; daughters, Jeannie and husband, Gary Bornholdt of Weatherford, and Kim and husband, Aubry Bigham of Crowley; sister, Mary Lee Hriz of Waco; granddaughters, Amber and husband, Jim O’Donald, Sheena, April, and Donna Bigham, and Michelle and husband, Chris Dietrich; grandson, Brandon Bornholdt; and eight great grandchildren.
