Maurine Johnston

  Maurine Johnston, age 97, of Fort Worth, died on Sunday, December 16, 2007, at Odyssey Hospice House in Fort Worth. Born December 4, 1910, in Terrell, Texas, a resident of Weatherford before moving to Fort Worth. She was a homemaker, Secretary and member of the Methodist Church. 

  Mrs. Johnston was preceded in death by her husband, Claude “Peck” Johnston; her parents, Luther and Lillie Browning; daughter, Lilyann "Betsy" Beavers; a grandson, Cumby Luther "CL" Beavers; and a sister, Hilda B. Wilkinson. 

  Survivors: granddaughter, Claudia Coy and husband, Ernest of Weatherford; grandson, Charles T. Beavers of Fort Worth; seven great grandchildren, Michelle Allison, Billy Beavers, Tim Beavers, Tyra Galindo, Amy Walker, Rachel Swift, and Boyd Beavers; ten great great grandchildren; and a niece, Cheryl Montgomery.

  Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 19, 2007, in the Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel, with interment in Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 18, 2007, at the funeral home.
