Maudelene Peoples

  Maudelene Peoples, 83, of Weatherford, left this life on Saturday, January 12, 2013, at her daughter’s residence in Arlington. Maudelene was born August 13, 1929, in Weatherford, to Louie and Katherine Welch. She was a homemaker, loved going to Winstar, bowling, and was a member of Prince Memorial CME, where she sang in the choir. Maudelene married Robert L. People, Sr. on September 25, 1954, they where deployed to Germany where Maudelene taught kindergarten. 

  She was preceded in death by her brother, James Louie Welch. 

  She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Robert Peoples, Sr.; children, Wayne C. Peoples of Weatherford, Erna R. Lacy of Arlington, Robert L. Peoples, Jr. and wife, Rosemary of Fort Worth; sister, Wanda J. Sanders and husband, Carl of Fort Worth; six grandchildren, Marcus, Briana, Quentin, Wayne Jr., Desiree, and Timeshia; six great grandchildren; three nieces; and two nephews.
 
  Funeral: 10:00 a.m., Saturday, January 19, 2013, in the Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel, with interment in Hillcrest Cemetery.
  Visitation: 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday.
