Mattie Jo Jones

  Mattie Jo Jones, 86, of Weatherford formerly of Springtown, passed away Friday, December 11, 2015, in a nursing facility. Jo was born October 17, 1929, in Vera, Texas, to George and Savoy Mitchell Feemster. She worked for Tri County Electric as an insurance administration bookkeeper. She was a member of Friendship Baptist Church, loved cooking and baking. She was the first in her family to go to college. 

  Jo was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lowell Ray Jones; and siblings, Mary Hatter, Wayne Feemster and Faye Roop. 

  She is survived by her daughter, Lisa O’Dell of Weatherford; grandson, Johnwesley O’Dell and wife, Rachel.

  Graveside service: 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, December 15, 2015, at Memory Gardens Cemetery, 5600 Mineral Wells Highway, Weatherford, Texas 76088. 

  Visitation: 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday, at Galbreaith Pickard.
