Mary Sandlin

Mary Jean Sandlin, 84, of Springtown passed away Wednesday, March 1, 2017. She was born December 31, 1932 to Louie and Maudiebell Coldiron Ellis in Clarendon. Mary was a member of Friendship Baptist Church. She and her husband were dairy farmers and she was a beauty operator. Mary was involved in 4-H with her children. She was preceded in death by her parents, Maudiebell Ellis and Louie and Venna Ellis; sister Elsie Dobbs and husband LaVoy.

Survivors include her husband of 64 years, Charles David Sandlin; children, Connie Belinda Wolford and husband Billy, Darlene Wilson and husband Steve, Royce Sandlin and wife Carmen; six grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; brothers, Lewis Wayne Ellis and wife Tommie and Milford Meadows and wife Minda; numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Visitation will be 6-8 pm Friday at Galbreaith-Pickard Funeral Chapel. Funeral services will be 2 pm Saturday, March 4 at Friendship Baptist Church will burial following at Veal Station Cemetery.
