Mary E McBride

Mary Evelyn McBride, age 82, passed from this life Friday, February 4, 2022. Mary was born August 28, 1939, in Weatherford, Texas to V.C. and Lorean. She was a retired Bookkeeper working for many years at Merritt Feed Store and a member of the Baptist Church. Mary loved horseback riding, dancing, fishing, mowing her lawn, and her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Doyle; parents, V.C. and Lorean Smethers; and a sister, Janice Walker.

Mary is survived by her daughter, Donna Jones (David) of Weatherford; son, Buddy McBride (Vicki) of Garner; sisters, Bonnie Smethers of Weatherford, Patsy Ames of Weatherford, Shirley Murphy (Jeff) of Weatherford, Nickey Gammill (Don) of Weatherford; brother, Johnny Smethers (Ellen) of Santo; granddaughters, Holli Pontremoli, Kaci Salmons, Denise Burks, Dana Drake, and Dayla Stuckly; and eight great grandchildren.

Visitation will be 6:00- 8:00 pm Sunday February 6, 2022, at the Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel with Graveside Funeral Service, 10:00 am. Monday, February 7, 2022, at the Curtis Cemetery.
