Mary Elizabeth Barbee

  Mary Elizabeth Barbee, 86, of Weatherford, died Sunday, May 9, 2010, at her residence. She was born June 23, 1923, in Fort Worth, to Issac and Mary White. Mary was a retired legal secretary and also retired from Lockheed Martin. She participated in Meals on Wheels and was a former member of the American Business Women’s Association. Mary was a member of South Main Church of Christ where she served in the Benevolence Room. 

  She is survived by her daughter, Loyce Pulliam of Weatherford; son, Maj. Edward Sandy Barbee III of Weatherford; sisters, Laura Hofsiss of Forestburg, Eva Sue Elliott of Tolar, Linda Price of Nashville, Tennessee, Nancy Salter of Joshua and Virginia Willis of Burleson; brother, Bobby White of Itasca; four grandchildren, Ken Webb, Russell Pulliam, Miranda Otjen, and Hoot Barbee; and nine great grandchildren. 

  Funeral service: 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 12, 2010, in South Main Church of Christ, with Minister Murphy Phillips officiating. Interment will follow in Curtis Cemetery. Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society. Visitation: 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, in the Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel.
