Mary E. Ward

Mary E. Ward, age 87, passed from this life to her Heavenly Home on Monday, November 29, 2021, in Crowley, TX following a short illness. Mary was born on October 18, 1934, in Lake Dallas, TX to Leonard Leon Blocker and Mary Elizabeth (Bennett) Blocker. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church of Weatherford. She was employed as a registered nurse for 51 years prior to her retirement. She loved her Lord and enjoyed crocheting, reading, and loving and spoiling her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Mary is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas M. Ward; her son, David M. Harwell; sisters - Juanita Spain, Bernice Clayton, and Clara Hill; and brothers - Franklin Blocker, Leon Blocker, and Billy Joe Blocker.

Left to cherish Mary's memory are her loving family: daughter, Carol Sue Cardwell of Garland, TX; son and daughter-in-law, Robert Daniel (Faye) Harwell of Fort Worth, TX; sisters - Wanda Nicholson of Fort Worth, TX and Junie Hoopingarner of Georgia; grandchildren - Jacey Cousins, Benjamin Harwell, Kevin Harwell, and Matthew Broomhall; 6 great-grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews and other extended family.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 2, 2021, at the Zion Hill Cemetery, 321-101 Johnson Bend Road, Weatherford, TX 76088.
