Mary Dean “Dee” Holcomb Parsons

  Mary Dean “Dee” Holcomb Parsons, age 84, of Weatherford, Texas, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on September 23, 2026. Born on December 17, 1941, to Walter and Rosia Tucker, Dee grew up surrounded by a large and loving family. She is preceded in death by her parents, aunts, uncles and grandparents, her husband, Walt Parsons, and many beloved siblings.

  Dee’s greatest joy in life was her family. She leaves behind her four children — Larry Holcomb and wife Mickie, Tonya Hull and husband Bobby, Kenneth Holcomb, and Chris Holcomb and wife Lisa — along with 17 grandchildren, numerous great‑grandchildren, and one precious great‑great grandchild. Her legacy is woven into each of them, and her love will continue to guide their lives.

  A devoted follower of Christ, Dee was a longtime member of Victory Baptist Church in Weatherford. She was in church every time the doors were open — singing in the choir, playing the piano and organ, and serving wherever she was needed. Her faith was the foundation of her life, and she lived it with joy, humility, and unwavering devotion.

  Outside of church, Dee cherished time with her children and grandchildren. She loved shopping at her favorite stores, decorating for Christmas, and showing up for every event she possibly could. She enjoyed fishing with her husband, feeding ducks at the lake, and taking peaceful drives through the countryside. Dee thrived when she was surrounded by her family, and she took immense pride in being present in the lives of her grandchildren, great‑grandchildren, and great‑great grandchild.

  Dee was one of a kind — selfless, giving, and full of heart. She would do anything for anyone, and her kindness touched countless lives. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

1 Peter 5:10 - “But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.”

  Family visitation will be held on Friday, October 9th, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at Victory Baptist Church in Weatherford, Texas.

   Funeral services will take place on Saturday, October 10th, at 11:00 a.m., also at Victory Baptist Church.
