Marvin Franklin Bethea

  Marvin Franklin Bethea, age 69, of Weatherford, went to be with the Lord Friday, February 23, 2018. Marvin was born May 22, 1948, in Canoe, Alabama, to Melton Floyd Bethea and Leomie Louise Jacobs Bethea. 

  Marvin was a devoted member of Granbury Church of God. He was a long-haul truck driver and enjoyed every minute of it. When not on the road you could catch Marvin singing or playing his guitar.

  Marvin is survived by his loving wife of 20 years, Linda Carole Bethea; stepdaughter, Lana Smith; stepsons, Terry Smith and wife, Andrea, Chris Smith and wife, Kerry, and James Jones and wife, Scherry; sisters, Lila Nell Bethea Harper and Betty Ann Bethea Henderson; brother, David Bethea; grandchildren, Samantha Renee Washburn, Ethan Payne Jones, Sara Elaine Willard, and James Willard; and great-grandchildren, Jocelyn Grace, and Karson Lee Morgan.

  Marvin was preceded in death by his parents, Melton Floyd Bethea and Leomie Louise Jacobs Bethea; sister, Patricia Bethea Neal; brother, Melton Lee Bethea; and grandson, Ernest Thomas Jones.
