Marleta Sue Hall

  Marleta Sue Hall, age 84, peacefully departed from this life on Saturday, September 28, 2024, surrounded by family. Born on March 6, 1940, in Weatherford, Texas, she was the beloved daughter of the late James and Ovella (Taylor) Darnall. 

  Marleta had a passion for crafting and sewing, and she devoted 33 years of her life as a childcare worker at North Side Baptist Church, leaving a lasting impact on the many children she cared for. 

  Marleta was preceded in death by her husband, Leslie C. Hall, and son, Leston Hall. 

  Marleta is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Sue Leatherwood and her husband, Gerald of Weatherford, Texas; she leaves behind a legacy of love through her grandchildren, Janetta, John (J.T.), Terri, Leslie, Emilie, Kortney, Leah, Cheryl, Melissa, and Aaron; along with 28 great-grandchildren; her God-daughter, Linnea; and her faithful cat, Goldie. 

  Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 2, 2024, at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel, in Weatherford, Texas. 

  A funeral service will take place at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, October 3, 2024, at North Side Baptist Church, in Weatherford, Texas. Following lunch, a family graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m., at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
