Mark Richard Baker, age 62, passed peacefully from this life on Tuesday, July 29, 2025. He was born on March 9, 1963, in Corpus Christi, Texas, to Steve and Anne (Woods) Baker.
Mark dedicated over 20 years of service to the City of Arlington before continuing his commitment to public service with the Palo Pinto County Sheriff's Office. In his later years, while residing at College Park Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Weatherford, Mark brought smiles and friendly competition to those around him - especially as the reigning champ at Wii Bowling. He also found simple joy in watching professional wrestling, a pastime he truly enjoyed.
Above all, Mark will be remembered for his quiet strength, his love for his family, and the easygoing spirit that endeared him to those who knew him. His presence will be deeply missed.
He is survived by his son, Charles Baker; daughter, Samantha Jo Palmer; his parents, Steve and Anne Baker; and brother, Matt Baker and wife, Chandra.
A memorial service celebrating Mark’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 6, 2025, at the First Baptist Church of Santo, located at 135 West Palo Pinto Street, Santo, Texas 76472.
