Marilyn Frances Dobbs

  Marilyn Frances Measures-Dobbs, 61, of Weatherford, passed away July 14, 2016 at her home following an extended illness. She will be remembered as being a loving wife, mother, and nurse.

  Marilyn was born February 1, 1955, in Weatherford, to Vernon and La Marylis (Norman) Measures. Marilyn graduated from Weatherford High School in 1973 and later from Nursing School in 1975. She married Jack Dobbs in 1976. Marilyn worked in nursing homes in Weatherford for many years. The last years she was employed at Holland Lake Nursing Home where she loved her coworkers and residents and truly enjoyed being with them.

  Marilyn is survived by her husband, Jack Dobbs; son, Justin Dobbs and wife, Shannon; daughter, Kimberly Dobbs; grandsons, Tyler and Chandler Dobbs; sister, Judy Mc Reynolds and husband, Fred; nephew, Tommie McReynolds, all of Weatherford.

  Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents.

  A memorial service will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 16, at the Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel, 913 N. Elm Street, in Weatherford. Visitation with her family will be from 2:30 until the time of the service, Saturday, at the funeral home.
