Margaret Viola James, 87, of Weatherford, passed away on Monday, April 6, 2009, in a local nursing facility. Born August 6, 1921 in Weatherford, Texas, to Limuel and Della Clyde Davis, she was a resident of Weatherford all her life. Mrs. James was a Nurse’s Aide for 10 years and a homemaker for her family. Since the early 1940’s, she was a faithful member of North Side Baptist Church where she was active in widows Ministry, Ladies Class Sunday School Teacher, WMU, and she was a singer in the Senior Adult Choir.
Mrs. James was preceded in death by her parents; a son, John W. James; and husband, Donald F. James.
Survived by: daughter, Kay Crumley and husband, Michael of Weatherford; daughter in law, Paula James of Weatherford; sister, Nett Fowler and husband, Tom Bill of Oakridge, Tennessee; two grandchildren, Johnny James and Darla Dunaway; five great-grandchildren, Jesse, Sam, Tiffani, Jennifer, and Dallas; and two great-great grandchildren, V.J. and Lacey.
Services will be at North Side Baptist Church, on Wednesday, April 8, 2009, at 2:00 p.m., with interment at Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., on Tuesday, at the funeral home. The family ask that donations be made to the North Side Baptist Church building fund.
