Lynda R. Stowe

Lynda R. Stowe departed peacefully from this life on Friday, September 15, 2023, at age 84. Lynda was born July 23, 1939, in Garner, Texas to Haney Hatfield and Marcia (Gilbert) Hatfield. Throughout her life, she worked as a data processor in the medical field, retiring from Campbell Hospital. Lynda was of the Baptist faith, and she enjoyed gardening and sewing.

Lynda's family brought her great joy. She was sure to attend every sporting event and play that her grandchildren participated in. Lynda was big on keeping traditions going and keeping everyone, from family to friends, in touch with one another. She was faithful to arrange family reunions, and Christmas and other holiday gatherings. She also helped organize the Garner Homecoming. She was a graduate of Weatherford ISD and had continued to meet with her fellow schoolmates over the years. Lynda's leadership and lively spirit will be missed by those who loved and knew her.

Lynda is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Roy (Leslie) Stowe of Azle, Texas; daughter, Donna Stowe of Weatherford, Texas; 5 grandchildren, Lizzie (Philip) Pigott, Megan (Mike) Coronado, Tori Greene, Rebecca (Jake) Peterson, and Kyle (Taylor) Stowe; 11 great-grandchildren, Layne, Jace, MaeBelle, Saylor, Maxton, Peyton, Koen, Stetson, Corbin, Macy, and Harper; brother, Raymond Hatfield; nephews, Raymond Newt (Sandi) Hatfield, and Forrest Kurt (Rhonda) Hatfield; and great nieces and nephew, Amanda, Luke, and Hadlee.

There will be a time of visitation for family and friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday, September 25, 2023, at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel, 913 N. Elm St., Weatherford, Texas 76086. 

A memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m., Thursday, September 28, 2023, at Bethesda Methodist Church, 6657 FM 113, Weatherford, Texas 76088.
