Loyd B. Towles, 81, of Weatherford, died Wednesday, September 6, 2006, in Weatherford. Born March 11, 1925 in Parker County, where he was a lifelong resident, Loyd was a retired Air Force Veteran, a former Golf Pro for Live Oak Country Club, and a member of Willow Park Baptist Church.
Loyd is survived by wife, Mary Towles of Weatherford; sons, Gary Towles, Bryan Towles, and Keith Towles, all of Weatherford; sister, Evelyn Shelby of Gun Barrell City; seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Funeral service: 2:00 p.m., Saturday, September 9, 2006, in the Willow Park Baptist Church. Interment: Annetta Cemetery. Visitation: 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, in the Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to: A Place For Grace, 100 Christopher Ct. Weatherford, Texas 76088
