Lorna Adele Vaught passed peacefully into the presence of her Lord on Sunday, March 15, 2026, at the age of 94. Born on February 15, 1932, in Hershey, Pennsylvania, she was the cherished daughter of Leonard and Theresa (Mandes) Ferucci.
Lorna lived a life marked by quiet devotion, both to her faith and to the people she loved most. She was a faithful member of the Catholic community; she carried her beliefs with grace and a steady strength that touched those around her. She shared 58 beautiful years of marriage with her beloved husband, Teddy “Ted” Vaught, building a life rooted in love and enduring partnership until his passing.
Professionally, Lorna worked as a dental hygienist for a time, a role that reflected her gentle nature and care for others. At home, she was the heart of her family - a devoted homemaker. In her quieter moments, she found joy on the golf course, watching sports, reading and spending the afternoon shopping and dining with her friends and family. In 1988, she received 1st place, one of many in a Tournament at Colonial Golf Club, in Fort Worth, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Teddy “Ted” Vaught; her parents, Leonard and Theresa Ferucci; and her brother, Leonard Ferucci.
Lorna’s memory will be treasured by those who knew and loved her, including her son, David Vaught; her grandsons, Justin Vaught (Carrielee Derbin), Cody Vaught, and Blake Forrest; her sister, Eleanor Bramante (Gus Bramante); and her sister-in-law, Pat Ferucci, along with many nieces, nephews, and friends. Through them, her legacy of love and quiet strength will continue.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, April 10, 2026, at the Annetta Cemetery, in Annetta, Texas.
Though she has gone from this life, Lorna will remain deeply loved and forever remembered in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
