Lois Mize

  Lois Mize, age 94, of Weatherford, died Monday afternoon, March 9, 2009, in a local nursing facility. Born July 7, 1914 in Peaster, Texas, a life long resident of Parker County, she was a homemaker, retired from retail sales, member of the North Main Church of Christ, Twentieth Century Club, and many other civic organizations.  

  Her husband of 38 years, Babe Mize, preceded her in death in 1972. Other family member who preceded in her in death are daughter, Danice Leigh Mize in 2001; Tommy Charles Mize in 2004; her parents, John and  Florence Gray; sisters, Sissy, Mamie, Bonnie, and Eucola; and brothers, Gussy, Burl, Bob, John L. (Red), and Elmer. 

  Survivors: daughter-in-law, Dana Mize; grandchildren, Terry, Durea, John, and Michelle; great grandchildren, Toby, Teryn, Matthew, Shawn, Natasha, and Kirsten; great great grandson, Tennessee; and a number of nieces and nephews. 

  Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, March 12, 2009, in the Galbreaith Pickard Chapel, with interment in Oakland Cemetery.
