Linda Ann Smith

  Linda Ann Smith, age 64, passed from this life on Wednesday, May 13, 2026. Linda was born October 30, 1961, in Weatherford, Texas, to Kenneth Murphree and Nadeen (Pickard) Murphree.

  Linda shared a loving life with her husband, Brian Smith, and together they created many treasured memories while raising their two children, Chase and Chelsey. She devoted her life to her family as a homemaker and also worked as a teacher’s aide, where her caring heart and gentle spirit touched many lives. Linda enjoyed gardening, cooking, and shopping, but her greatest joy was spending time with her family and especially her beloved grandchildren.

  Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Brian Smith of Fort Worth, Texas; son, Chase Barber and wife, Andrea; daughter, Chelsey Smith and fiancé, Tristen Morales; grandchildren, Hadley Barber and Avery Barber; parents, Kenneth and Nadeen Murphree of Weatherford, Texas; sister, Donna Tillman; nephews, Brandon Woods and wife, Amy, and Dan Woods and wife, Randi; great-niece and great-nephew, Ryann Woods and Parker Woods; aunt, Frankie Smith; uncle, James Pickard; along with many dear friends and her extended Illinois family.

  Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 17, 2026, at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel in Weatherford, Texas.

  A funeral service will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, May 18, 2026, at the Spring Creek Tabernacle across the street from Spring Creek Cemetery, located at 508 Spring Creek Road, Weatherford, Texas.

  Linda will be remembered for her devotion to those she loved and the gentle kindness she shared so freely.
