Linda Joy Samford

  Linda Joy (Teague) Samford, age 74, passed peacefully from this life on Tuesday, September 9, 2025. She was born on May 25, 1951, in Fort Worth, Texas, to J.B. Teague and Joy (Tucker) Teague.

  Linda graduated from L.D. Bell High School in Hurst, Texas. For 25 years, Linda faithfully served as office manager for Dralco in Weatherford, Texas.

  A devoted woman of the Baptist faith, Linda found great joy in reading her Bible and living out her faith daily.

  On August 31, 1984, she married Ellis Samford, and together they shared 41 wonderful years. Above all, she loved her family deeply and cherished every moment spent with them. Whether as a wife, mother, grandmother, or sister, Linda’s greatest pride was in the bonds of love she nurtured with those closest to her.

  She was preceded in death by her parents, J.B. and Joy Teague.

  Linda is survived by her husband, Ellis Samford of Heber Springs, Arkansas; two daughters, Kristin Jeanes and husband Tom, and Angela Rawls; four beloved grandchildren; her brother, John Teague; and many loving relatives and friends who will forever treasure her memory.

  Linda’s legacy of faith, love, and devotion will continue to live on in the hearts of her family and all who knew her.

  Services to honor Linda’s life will be held on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel, 913 North Elm Street, Weatherford, Texas 76086. Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m., followed by a graveside service at 10:30 a.m. at Center Point Cemetery, 1003 Center Point Rd, Weatherford, Texas 76087.
