Linda Burris Donaldson Dixon, 79, passed away peacefully on August 2, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. She was a deeply cherished mother, grandmother and friend whose warmth, kindness and vibrant personality touched everyone she met. Linda had a remarkable way of making people feel welcome and valued, and her laughter, generosity and steady presence left a lasting imprint on her family, friends, and community. Her life was a beautiful reflection of love given freely and abundantly, and she will be profoundly missed by all who were blessed to know her.
Born on September 30, 1946, Linda was the daughter of the late Herbert and Ramona Burris. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Mike Burris and James "Todd" Burris. Linda leaves behind a loving family who will forever cherish her memory. She is survived by her brothers, Phil Burris and Rich Burris; her daughter, Karey Donaldson Wilson and her son, Shane Donaldson and his wife Gaylynn. She was a proud and devoted grandmother to Randall, Hunter and Cayden who brought immeasurable joy to her life. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends who will miss her deeply.
Linda dedicated 32 years of service to Lockheed Martin, where she built lasting friendships.
Outside of work, Linda embraced life with enthusiasm. She loved country and western dancing and rarely passed up the chance to enjoy good music and good company. She had a creative spirit and found joy in making beautiful jewelry for family and friends. She also had a special place in her heart for her beloved dogs, Stevie and Jasper, who were faithful companions and brought her endless comfort and happiness.
Linda will be remembered for her strength, kindness, creativity and the lover she shared with those around her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her.
The family appreciates the love, prayer, and support shown during this difficult time and will cherish the many memories shared of Linda's life.
