Lillian Elizabeth George, 96, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 25, 2022. She was born July 2, 1926, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to George and Sophia Skowronski Hillenbrand.
Lillian was a waitress at Duquesne Club, a premier private club in Pittsburgh, for more than 30 years. She will be remembered for being adventurous, having a big personality, progressive in her thinking, willing to participate in any activity that kept her feeling young, being the life of every party and a phenomenal cook. She adored her family including many cousins. She always enjoyed having family picnics, a good joke, her dogs, a good motorcycle ride, being fashionable, and spending the holidays with family especially Halloween and Christmas.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husbands, Bernard E. Borkowski and Charles E. George.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Gregory Borkowski and wife Grace Svendsen, Melanie Maria Borkowski and husband Terrance J. Mikesh, Charlene Glaub and husband James J. Glaub; grandchildren, Elijah Borkowski, Rachael Borkowski Urlock, Nicholas J. Glaub and Tatyana S. Glaub as well as her great grandchildren, Bailey Rose Borkowski and Max Urlock. Lillian is also survived by her very dear friend Jennifer Bowman.
