Lillian Carvel Horton Jones

  Lillian Carvel Horton Jones, 95, passed away Monday, August 4, 2008, in a Fort Worth hospital. Lillian was born July 3, 1913, in Britton, Texas, to Samuel Shell and Sudie Elizabeth Elrod Raines. She was a member of First Baptist Church Oak Ridge in Gainesville and a homemaker.  

  Her parents, a husband, one granddaughter and ten brothers and sisters preceded her in death. 

  Mrs. Jones is survived by a daughter, Pauline Bashaw and husband, Wesley; sons, Vernon Horton and wife, LaVerne, Arnold Horton and friend, Jackie Huff, Wayne Horton and wife, Carolyn, and Waymond Horton and wife, Glenda; 12 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.  

  Funeral: 10:00 a.m., Thursday, at Spring Creek Baptist Church. Visitation is from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, at Galbreaith Pickard. Burial will be in Spring Creek Cemetery.
