Lesley L. Mayo, 81, of Springtown, died Thursday, March 26, 2009, in a Weatherford nursing facility. Born June 21, 1927, in Ty Valley, Oklahoma, he was a resident of Parker County for many years.
Lesley owned and operated Mayo Excavation for 30 years and was a member of Calvary Heights Baptist Church in Springtown. He was a hard worker that enjoyed life and spending time with his family.
Survivors: wife of 59 years, Louise Mayo of Springtown; daughters, Marilyn Daniel and husband, Jonathan of White Settlement, and Brenda Norman and husband, William of Azle; son, Lesley Mayo and wife, Lyn of Azle; step mother, Eunice Mayo of Antlers, Oklahoma; sister, Leona Boyd of Oak Grove, Louisiana; brother, Dwight Mayo of Antlers, Oklahoma; sister in law, Peggy Joslin of Antlers, Oklahoma; nine grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
Funeral service: 2:00 p.m., Monday, March 30, 2009, in the Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel, with Rev. George Weaver officiating.
Interment: Springtown Cemetery. Visitation: 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., Sunday, at the funeral home.
