Leonard Wallace Viets, Jr., 71, of Weatherford, passed away Wednesday, January 4, 2012 in the local hospital. He was born March 2, 1940, in Fargo, North Dakota, to Leonard Wallace Viets, Sr. and Rachel Emily (Boyd) Viets. Leonard retired from Lockheed Martin after 40 years of employment as a tool design engineer. He enjoyed gardening and woodworking as well as fishing and lapidary.
Leonard is survived by his wife, Sharoyn; children, Teresa Domanick and husband, Michael of The Bahamas, Tawnya Viets of Tehachapi, California, and Timothy Viets and wife, Jean of Wilsonville, Oregon; sister, Delores Brevik of Newbury Park, California; and two granddaughters, Emily and Madeleine.
Graveside service: 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, January 10, 2012, in Memory Gardens Cemetery.
