Lena Covington

  Lena Covington, age 97, died on Saturday, February 12, 2011 in a local hospital. Lena was born on November 10, 1913, to Henry and Mary McTigue Barton, in Lipan, Texas.

  She was a longtime resident of Weatherford and a member of North Side Baptist Church.

  She was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert Covington; five brothers; and three sisters.

  Survivors: sons, Don Covington and wife, Becky of Weatherford, Texas and Larry Covington and wife, Sharon of Weatherford, Texas; grandchildren, Brad, Amy, John and Kathy; and seven great grandchildren

  Visitation will be Monday, February 14, 2011 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at the funeral home. Graveside services will be Tuesday, February 15, 2011 at 1:00 p.m., at East Greenwood Cemetery with Rev. Gary Wood officiating. Services are under the direction of Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel.
