Leland Bennett Rowland, Jr.

  Leland Bennett Rowland, Jr., beloved father, brother and grandfather, passed away Wednesday, October 13, 2010.  Born in Dinwiddie County, Virginia, on November 6, 1932, the son of Leland B. Rowland, Sr. and Laura Davis Rowland. After 25 years of proudly serving his country, Lee retired from the United States Air Force. His loving and supportive family was his greatest achievement. He enjoyed traveling, restoring cars, flying remote-controlled airplanes, and woodworking.

  He was preceded in death by his adored wife, Audrey; loving sister, Margaret “Teeny” Cabaniss; and his parents, Leland and Laura Davis Rowland.

  Survivors include his daughters, Kay Huse and husband, Greg, of Weatherford and Susan Shaver and Larry Watters, of Monroe, Washington; son, Michael Rowland and wife, Maria, of Seattle, Washington; brothers, Frank, John David, and Larry Rowland; sisters, Rebecca Wilkerson, Libbie Watson, and Barbara Thomason; grandchildren, Andrea Eden; Jason and Jarrod Shaver; Larry Watters, Christian, Ayden and Kaiberly Rowland; great-grandchildren, Trent Eden, Chase and Rio Shaver; and his constant companion, his “puppy,” Bandit.
