Laura C. Nice

  Laura C. Nice, 98, of Weatherford, passed away on Monday, August 29, 2011. Born in Shamokin, Pennsylvania, to William and Laura Mowery, Mrs. Nice was one of 18 children. She was a resident of Parker County since 1987 where she was a homemaker and a loving caregiver to all family and friends. 

  Preceding her in death are her husband, Wardner, and 16 siblings.

  Survived by: daughters, Barbara Cubbler and husband, Ralph of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Laura Shakespeare and husband, Don of Parksburg, Pennsylvania; son, Wardner (Bud) Nice, Jr. and wife, Ruth of Weatherford; brother, John Mowery and wife, Helen of New Oxford, Pennsylvania; six grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.

  Funeral service: 2:00 p.m., Friday, September 2, 2011, in the Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel. Visitation: 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Thursday, at the funeral home.
