Larry Wayne Matthews

  Larry Wayne Matthews, 61, passed away on Thursday, June 22, 2023. He was born December 15, 1961, in Weatherford, Texas, to James Wheeler Matthews and Bonnie (Roden) Matthews. Larry worked in the construction industry and owned and operated Matthews Concrete. In addition to his professional achievements, he enjoyed fishing, singing, and spending time with his family. Larry will be deeply missed by his loved ones and his memory will be cherished by all who knew him.

  Larry was preceded in death by his father, James Matthews.

  Larry is survived by his beloved wife, Paula Matthews of Millsap, Texas; children, Josh N. Matthews and wife, Michele, Leslie Ann Matthews, Emma Leigh Matthews and husband, Ryan, and Jeremy Wayne Matthews and wife, Caroline; grandchildren, Ezra, Ethan, Hailey, Kendall, Kaylee, Rossi, Ryleigh, Ashlyn, Tyler, and Jake; mother, Bonnie Ruth Matthews; and siblings, Nancy Tatum, Steve Matthews and wife, Judy, Kathy Newsome, and Terry Matthews and wife, Jimie.

  A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 28, 2023, at Fairview Cemetery, 2347 Fairview Rd, Millsap, Texas 76066.
