Larry Duanne Shields

  Larry Duanne Shields, 68, of Weatherford, died Sunday April 1, 2007, in the local hospital. Born December 17, 1938, in Cooper, Texas, he was a resident of Parker County for many years. Larry retired from Lockheed after 32 years, he was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, a Parker County volunteer fireman for 18 years and he enjoyed working Word Finds puzzles.  

  Larry is survived by his wife of 42 years, Mary Shields of Weatherford; sons, David Shields and fiancé, Suletta of Weatherford; step son, James McDevitt of Weatherford; uncle, T.J. Shields of Garland; three grandchildren and four great grandchildren. 

  Funeral service: 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 4, 2007, in the Calvary Baptist Church, with Rev. Cris Powell officiating. Interment will be in East Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, in the Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel.
