Kenneth Richard Spirko, Sr.

Kenneth Richard Spirko, Sr., age 75, passed away on Wednesday, May 1, 2024. He was born on February 11, 1949, in North Charleroi, PA, to the late Nicholas Spirko and Ethel (Eory) Spirko. Raised in the Catholic faith, Kenneth proudly served his country in the United States Navy as a Vietnam veteran. On April 1st, he was honorably discharged and soon after met Gail on a blind date in May. Their love story blossomed quickly, culminating in marriage by June. One fond memory of their early days together was driving off in his beloved '66 GTO after the wedding ceremony.

During the 80s, Kenneth obtained his pilot's license and developed a passion for aviation. He also had a deep appreciation for antique cars and became quite the collector. An enthusiast of sci-fi movies, Kenneth had a diverse range of interests. Known for his musical talents, he entertained others by playing the guitar and hosting weekend gatherings where neighbors would come together for music and sing-a-longs.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his brothers, Bobby Spirko and Jerome Spirko. He is survived by his devoted wife of 53 years, Gail Ann Spirko of Weatherford, TX; his son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth Spirko, Jr. and Stephanie; his daughter, Kerry Ann Heffelfinger; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; as well as his siblings, Nicholas Spirko, Tom Spirko, Dave Spirko, Greg Spirko, and Judy O'Brien.
