It is with heavy hearts, yet with deep hope in Christ, that we announce the passing of Karson Zimmermann, who left this world at the age of 23 on Sunday, March 1, 2026. Born on November 5, 2002, in Arlington, Texas, Karson was the beloved son of Kyrstin Casburn Zimmermann and Jim Zimmermann. Karson blessed all who knew him with his radiant smile and gentle spirit.
Though Karson could not speak with words, his life spoke powerfully. His eyes and his beautiful smile communicated what language often cannot. His quiet charm had a way of drawing people in, and his joy touched everyone around him.
Karson’s life was a reminder of something Scripture teaches clearly: every person is made in the image of God and therefore carries immeasurable dignity and worth. Though his abilities were different from many, his value was never measured by what he could do, but by who God created him to be. Karson’s life quietly testified to the beauty, mystery, and sacredness of human life.
Karson loved spending time with his family and especially enjoyed weekends with his cousins swimming in the pool and relaxing in the hot tub. He also loved attending Aledo Bearcat football games, where he enjoyed the excitement and energy of the crowd. Being surrounded by the people he loved most brought him the greatest happiness.
Those who knew Karson saw something rare in him: a simple, unfiltered joy. In a world that often moves too fast and measures life by achievement, Karson reminded his family and friends to slow down, notice the small moments, and treasure the people around them.
While his passing leaves a deep ache, those who trust in Christ grieve with hope. Karson’s story does not end in loss but in the promise that God makes all things new. The same God who formed Karson in His image holds him now in perfect wholeness, joy, and peace.
He is lovingly remembered by his mother, Kyrstin Casburn Zimmermann; his father, Jim Zimmermann; his sister, Kristen Skinner and husband Justin, parents of Jaden, Cambri, and Eastyn; and his other siblings, Makenzi Zimmermann, Zee Zimmermann, and Keaton Zimmermann.
Karson was a beloved nephew to Rachel and Christopher Bartos; Joshua and Heidi Casburn; Adam and Kelsey Casburn; Page and Barry Campbell; and Susan Zimmermann. He will also be dearly missed by his cousins, Nolan Ruth, Jackson Bartos, Reagan Ruth, Sage Bartos, Gracie Ruth, Chloe Bartos, Payton Ruth, Hailey Casburn, Logan Casburn, Elise Casburn, Brendan Casburn, Ben Casburn, Reese Casburn, Emery Casburn, Tiffany Elise Hooks, Cody Warren, and Samantha Warren.
He was a treasured grandson of Bruce and Penny Casburn and shared a special bond with every member of his family, who remained at the center of his world.
Karson was preceded in death by his uncle, Lucas Casburn; his grandfather, James Walter Zimmermann; and his grandmother, Sherri Ann Zimmermann.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, March 5, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the home of Rachel and Christopher Bartos.
A memorial service celebrating Karson’s life will be held on Friday, March 6, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Christ Chapel Bible Church. A private graveside service will follow.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Christ Chapel Bible Church Special Needs SHINE ministry in honor of Karson's bright light and beautiful spirit.
As we remember Karson, we give thanks for the life God gave him and the love he shared with those around him. His life reminded us that joy does not require words, that love is often communicated in the quietest ways, and that every life - no matter how the world measures it - is precious in the sight of God.
