Weatherford, Texas - Julia Minor Hieb, age 67, passed away on July 10, 2024, from a heart condition.
She was born in St. Joseph, Missouri, to Donald and Nylus Minor of Easton, Missouri. Julia graduated from Central High School in 1974, and went on to get her bachelor’s degree in accounting at Missouri Western College.
After college, she moved to Dallas, Texas, where she started her career in accounting. In 1979 Julia met her husband, Harold, and moved to Ft. Worth, Texas. There she went to work for Alcon Laboratories where she retired after 33 years. Julia married Harold in 1980 and was blessed with a daughter in 1983.
In her early years, Julia enjoyed motorcycles and camping. She also loved the holidays, especially Halloween, and as of recently, going to casinos. Julia and Harold built a cabin at Lake Palo Pinto where she spent a lot of time relaxing with her friends and family. Her last few years were painful, but still tried to help others when she could.
Julia was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Nylus Minor; her sister, Charlotte Minor Walton; and her husband, Dennis.
Julia is survived by her husband, Harold Hieb, of 44 years; daughter, Lindsay Hieb; sister, Mary Minor; brother, Jim Minor and partner, Daryl Buddemeyer; many cousins, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, August 22, 2024, at Galbreaith Pickard Hilltop Chapel, 4941 Interstate 20 Frontage Rd., Willow Park, Texas, 76087, with the Reverend Brenda Wier officiating.
